Lexi was Chris' first flyball dog. When she first began running, Lexi liked to stare at the other dogs and wasn't so interested in coming back to Chris. Chris tried several things to get Lexi to come back to him instead of staring. The most interesting thing he tried was a golf club. Lexi also likes to stare a golf clubs in the hope that you might swing it. This drew a lot of attention so Chris decided to teach Lexi the joys of tugging instead. It didn't take long for her to realize how much fun she could have tugging. Though she still likes to circle and stare at her teammates once the tug is removed from her mouth.
Lexi is now a reliable dog that can run in any position. She will run for anyone and several times, junior team members Katy and Courtney, have raced with her. She still occasionally runs on a Vetran's team or fills a B-Team vacancy.
